The Oriental College of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics is an applied undergraduate college with economics and management as the main subject, and coordinated development of economics, management, literature, art, law, science, and engineering. It was approved by the Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government in 1999 and 2004 A full-time undergraduate independent college confirmed by the Ministry of Education in the year.

      The college is located in Haining, a famous historical and cultural city, the modern leather capital, and a famous tide-watching resort, with convenient transportation, close to the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway and Hangzhou-Pu Expressway. The Hangzhou-Haizhou Intercity Railway is under construction directly to the college and away from the Xiasha campus of Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. , Hangzhou Linping straight line distance is more than 10 kilometers. The college covers an area of 938 acres, with a building area of 300,000 square meters, with a total value of more than 57 million yuan in teaching and research equipment, a library of more than 1.08 million paper books, 80 Chinese and foreign language databases, complete teaching facilities, excellent living facilities, and an elegant campus environment.      The college implements the dean responsibility system under the leadership of the board of directors. There are currently 11 teaching units, namely the School of Finance and Economics, the School of Finance and Taxation, the School of Business Administration, the School of Accounting, the School of Information, the School of Law and Politics, the School of Cultural Communication and Design, the School of Foreign Languages, and the Entrepreneurship College, Sports Department and Continuing Education College. The college has more than 400 full-time teachers and more than 100 external teachers. Among them, full-time teachers with senior professional and technical positions account for about 30% of the total, and full-time teachers with a master's degree or above account for about 85% of the total. There are currently more than 10,000 full-time undergraduate students.

      The college's professional settings are closely integrated with the needs of Zhejiang's economic and social development. There are currently 35 undergraduate majors, mainly for modern service industries, cultural and creative industries, and public administration. Existing applied disciplines such as e-commerce and Internet finance, logistics and supply chain management, regional finance and rural economic development, charity law and social governance, fiscal and taxation theory and policy. The teachers of the college are guided by applied scientific research and have completed a large number of high-quality scientific research projects, actively serving the local economic and social development and the college's talent training.

      The college actively carries out international exchanges and cooperation to create a platform for students to study abroad. Carry out student study tours, paid internships and exchange studies, study MBA and international masters and other forms of cooperation and exchange programs, and establish cooperation mechanisms with more than 20 colleges and universities in the United States, Britain, France, Canada, Australia, Japan and other countries.
